During October the children in Year 6 prepared and led their own liturgies on the Rosary at each lunchtime. This was a wonderfully prayerful time for the whole school and you can see some photos on our RE Page.
Wednesday 12th October
Today some of us became news reporters as we practiced our use of passive sentences. Hear examples of our Passive News Reports on our Literacy Page
Monday 2nd October
Today we visited the Black Country Museum and learned about life in the Victorian times. We went down the mine and took part in a class lesson from Victorian times! See some photos on our History Page.
Wednesday 27th September
Today we used our knowledge of William Morris wallpaper designs and our and digital wallpaper patterns to design a tile.We then used our tiles to print, thinking hard about what symmetry, rotation and patters we would use. See some photos on our Art and DT Page.
Wednesday 20th September
Today we looked into the designs of William Morris and completed our own digital wallpaper patterns. We also studied and sketched flowers and leaves and our study will form part of our ongoing art work. See some photos on our Art and DT Page.
Today we held our hustings for House and Vice Captains. A number of year 6 were brave enough to put themselves forward in an exciting battle. Well done to our new leaders. See more on the School Council Page.
Monday 18th September
Today we completed some group research into aspects of Victorian life with Mrs Gogna. We presented our findings in a presentation which you can watch by visiting our History Page. What have you learned about life in Victorian times?
We also learned about the plight of Moses and the Israelites in the desert and how Moses kept his faith in God when the people were hungry and thirsty. To view our drama work, visit our RE Page

Friday 20th October
Today was our Year 6 Assembly. We had worked really hard to learn all our parts and songs to showcase all our knowledge about life in Victorian Times. We put on an aamzing performance and you can see see some photos on our History Page.
Thursday 28th September
Today we visited Birmingham Central Mosque. We learned about the 5 Pillars of Islam. Can you remember them all? We also learned how and when Muslims pray. See some photos on our RE Page.
Wednesday 13th September
Today we celebrated Roald Dahl's birthday. We completed some Maths problems involving some of his famous characters and then completed some punctuation and grammar hunts in some of his books. We finished our celebrations by watching Matilda! Someone noticed a rather disgusting smell of "dogs droppings!" To see some photos of this day go to our Literacy Page.
Tuesday 12th September

Thursday 7th September
We had an exciting time in Year 6 during RE today. Teams of children had to send one child at a time to study and remember the books of the bible! It was a competition to find out who would remember the most at the end of the lesson! Well done guys! See our photos on our RE Page.
