18th December Flute Recital
As part of our end of year assembly, the flautists from Year 5 and 6 had a treat fro us. They performed a selection of Christmas inspired tuned to help us feel festive!
15th December Christmas Dinner
The children had their Christmas dinners! After the dinner the school hosted a group of elderly parishioners who had a Christmas dinner. After our guests had eaten the choir performed a selection of Christmas songs.
15th December Junior Nativity
The children of the Junior classes and their families were at church for a retelling of the Nativity story. The children were wonderful as narrators, actors, band members and a choir
11th December - Choir Carol Service at St Chad's Cathedral
The choir took part in the Catholic Schools' Annual Carol service at St Chad's Cathedral. This was a beautiful alphabet nativity and St Teresa's sang about the gifts of the wise men.
5th December - School and Parish Christmas Fair
Our annual Cristmas Fair - which gathers us together as a community to spend time and money together took place this week.£1752.56 was raised. Thank you the parishioners, staff and parents who organised the event and ran the stalls.
2nd December Year 5 Visit to Jodrell Bank
On Wednesday, Year 5 visit-ed Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire. The children had an interesting, albeit a long day; leaving school at 8.30 a.m. and returning at 5.15 p.m.
27th November - Prayer Service for those who have died
During November we have been praying especially for those of our family and friends who have died. Today we held a special service to remeber these people. Many of us brought photographs of our loved ones and these were displayed in the gazebo where each class spent a prayerful session today
27th November Year 6 Maths Challenge
Four Year 6 children; Humraj, Oliwia P, Gurdeep and Sienna, competed in the Year 6 Maths Challenge at King Edward’s School, Edgbaston. The team competed very well. Of the ten school’s competing the team finished sixth. Well done to these mathematicians.

Health Eating session
On Thursday 19th November the school nurse led a Healthy Eating session for the Year 6 class. Again, this class were attentive. One hopes that, with regards to food choices, they can be discerning; this half term’s other Virtue
Visiting speaker - CAFOD
On Wednesday 18th November, Mrs Mitchell, a visiting speaker from CAFOD was in school. She told the children about the work that CAFOD do in Kenya
Ten Ten Theatre Company
Ten Ten Theatre Company were in school on 10the November. Each class saw a performance by this Catholic company sharing messages about how we live our lives.
Asthma Awareness session for children On 5th November, Nurse McKenzie; the school nurse, worked with our children who are asthmatic to remind the children about the possible triggers for their condition, how to best take their inhaler to get the maximum benefit and to answer questions that the children had
Year 6 Assembly - British Values

Year 5 visit to Safeside
On Wednesday , 14th October, year 5 went on a visit to Safeside. They had an interesting day learning about various ways to keep themselves safe.
Year 1 visit to Tamworth Castle 12th October

Advent Service Preparation
On 6th October, the Choir were at St. John Wall Catholic Secondary School preparing for an Advent Liturgy on 11th December at St. Chad’s Cathedral.
Reception class Dental Health session
On 5th October there was a dental health lesson for the Reception class, led by staff from Rookery Children’s Centre who reminded the children how important their teeth are and how to look after them. The children received a ‘toothbrush kit’ for their teeth. The same kits have also been provided for Years 1 and 2.
While our TV's are tuned to the Rugby World Cup, the children in years 4,5 and 6 experienced an exciting introduction to the sport today (1st Oct) from our wonderful coach from Sporting Elite. Click to find out more!
Disability Awareness Day
On 24th September we were visited by John McCorkell. We all reflected on the meaning of the term "disability." and learned about Physical disabilities—which may affect mobility and motor skills, Sensory disabilities—such as blindness or deafness and Intellectual disabilities—such as learning disabilities and developmental delays. Yamaha Music Schools- Assembly Presentation
On 8th September we were visited by some of the drumming teachers from Yamaha Music Schools. They certainly rocked the school hall!

Year 5 Cricket
On Wednesday 3rd June, some of Year 5 went to play a cricket tournament at Wood Lane fields!

Donald Brown Feb 2015
On Wednesday afternoon we had a very special visitor to school. Donald Brown was part of a bomber crew in the Second World War. He came to visit the children of Year 6 to share his story.
With such an amazing display of talent, this year's music evening was the best ever! Take a look at some of the performances here!
In Year 5 and 6, we watched a video about the work of the charity 'Mary's Meals'. To help children get a better education, we are now collecting backpacks and school supplies to send to poor countries. Click here to find out more.

Pensioners Christmas dinner December 2014
On the 16th December, some of the pensioners from the parish joined us for Christmas carols and a Christmas dinner. It was a lovely festive afternoon that got us all in the Christmas spirit.

BOSU Day November 2014
On 19th November, we had a special BOSU Training Camp for the whole school, led by Glenn Pooler. Everyone had loads of fun whilst bouncing their way to fitness. Click for more images
Christmas Stars 2014
On 17th November, our Christmas Song 'Share your Love' won the first round of the Christmas Stars competition. Next stop, the finals!

Year 2 went to Hamstead Hall Academy for a ‘Go Run for Fun’ event. The class were very active throughout the afternoon and met an olympic athlete!

Year 6 trip to St Chads - May 2014
Year 6 went to St Chad's Cathedral for the Good Shepherd Mass. We took our cheque for the money raised during Lent and presented this during the Offertory Procession. We were lucky enough to meet Bishop Pargeter after mass.

Meghan Beesley - April 2014
As part of a Sports for Schools event, we were visited by a British international athlete; 400m hurdler, Meghan Beesley. Throughout the after-noon the children participated in physical exercises used by athletes like Meghan.

As part of our preparation for Holy Week, some of St Teresa’s Year 5 children took part in a Stations of the Cross Roadshow with St John Wall Secondary School and St Claire's Primary.
Life Caravan April 3rd/4th 2014
On 3rd and 4th April, the Life Education Caravan was parked in the school playground. Children from all classes spent a lesson in the bus learning about health and how to keep safe.

Yr 5/6 Cartoon Workshops- March 2014
St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School was the venue for three sessions led by Marvel Comics’ John McCrea on March 11, 12 and 13. Pupils from Year 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to work alongside an industry professional to create their own superhero. With young imaginations at play, they came up with some brilliant work.

World Book Day - March 2014
In celebration of World Book Day, many of the children and all of the staff dressed up as book characters! Christmas Fayre - Dec 2013
The school and parish held their annual Christmas Fayre! Lots of fun was had by all and the money raised was shared between the school and the parish. It was lovely to see our past pupils paying us a visit and Father David enjoyed himself too!
Visit to Free Radio - Dec 2013
As part of our prize for winning Free Radio's Christmas Stars Competition, the children from Year 5 and 6 visited Free Radio where they met the presented and recorded their Christmas single to be played on Christmas morning!
Christmas Dinner for the Elderly - Dec 2013
We were joined by the elderly of our parish for Christmas Dinner! Year 6 made special presents for our visitors who also enjoyed a performance by the school choir.
Christmas Nativities - Dec 2013
The Infant classes presented their version of the Nativity Story to a packed school hall.
The Junior classes celebrated this special time of year with their Nativity at St Teresa's Catholic Church. A great big well done to all of the children involved.

Fire in School - Oct 2013
Unfortunately, our school was devastated by a fire. Led by Mr Corkery and our school caretaker, the clean-up operation began in earnest, while the children were taught at Sacred Heart and Holy Trinity. A big thank you to these schools for helping us out!
