We had fun making bread.

Today we built a robot and wrote instructions. We had fun!

We conducted a fair test to find out which materials are waterproof.

We made our names with Lego.

In RE, we read the parable of the Lost Son. We made a display for our classroom.

We used a whole-part model to learn number bonds.

We made paper crowns to celebrate the Epiphany.

We learnt about Northern Ireland and practised Irish dancing with Mrs Dignan.

Today we tasted sweet, salty, sour and bitter foods in our science lesson.

We have been using dots and butterflies to learn our number bonds to 7.

We have been using pots and flowers to learn our number bonds.How can we share 6 flowers between two pots?

In art, we learnt about a pointillism. This technique, used by the French artist Seurat,uses small dots to create pictures.

We learnt about germs and hand washing with Nurse Ruth today. We had a great time.

In science, we have been learning about senses.Today we smelt different pots and identified the smell.

We used our imagination and painted branches.

We had fun during our 'no pen' morning. We role-played the story of Hansel and Gretel and made the house with sweets. 

An alien crashed into the Y1 classroom today. He made a lot of mess but we were kind towards him. We are learning how to make everybody feel welcome.

We read about Saint Francis' life and created our own version of the Canticle of the Sun.

We have been busy making cupcakes for Beegu the alien.
