St Teresa's Catholic Primary School

Year 6 2025 - 2026

MISS WALK, MISS KAZA AND MRS GOGNA WELCOME YOU TO OUR YEAR 6 PAGE.

FRIDAY 9TH JANUARY

Good morning, Year 6! I hope you are all safe and warm at home this morning.

Below are the lessons we would have completed today.

Reading: read for pleasure for 20 minutes. You can read anything - a book, a magazine, even a newspaper!

English: modal verbs. Modal verbs show possibility. We learned about them before in our 'Secret Friends' unit when we were writing advice letters.

Click here for the slides. Click here for the task.

Maths: practise long division by 2-digit numbers.

Click here for the task. Click Long Division example.pngfor an example of long division, just like we practised yesterday.

Maths Fluency: practise your times table and division facts on Times Table Rockstars.

DT: Think about the design you previously created for your stuffed toy. Was it big enough? Was it simple enough to sew and make? Create an alternative design so that you can compare them next week and choose which one you will make.

REMEMBER TO COMPLETE YOUR HOMEWORK AS WELL!!!

Finally, try to get outside and enjoy the snow today. Build a snowman, have a snowball fight with family or friends, or just take a walk around and enjoy nature.

I shall see you on Monday!   MISS W :-D
